Residence Il Covo B&B is located right where the action is. I don’t mean the Colosseum, Trevi or Spanish Steps – which are all 10-15 min walk away… I meant Monti – it has a completely different vibe from the very touristy scene in Rome. Monti is energetic, lively with eclectic garment n jewelry shops, charming eateries and is populated with locals. Since we were there on Liberation Day or ‘Bella Ciao’ Day, it was buzzing with holiday nonchalance and the day’s most hard-pressed discussion: whether Napoli winning Serie A with or without Maradona would be deserving or not. None of us knew the language but we got the drift and enjoyed it. The quadruple room was not the largest for a family of 4 adults but was tastefully designed with all the amenities in place. And since we were out most times, it didn’t matter. The best amenity by far was the breakfast arrangement – warm, freshly baked croissants, cheese, butter, ham, tea, coffee, juice, yoghurt at a place just down the lane by Piazza della Madonna dei Monti. This forced everyone to wake up at a decent hour and scurry towards the eatery. The staff we didn’t see much but for the person who came up and thoroughly cleaned the rooms. And of course, Adrija at the reception, who was very helpful right from the time we made the booking until she called in a cab for Termini.

Il Covo BB was perfect, It’s in an excellent location, almost everything is within walking distance. If you don’t feel like walking, the metro is just 4 minutes away, and there are plenty of bus lines nearby as well. With the B&B option, breakfast is served in a bar about a 7-minute walk away, a refreshing stroll. The bar is located on a charming square with a small fountain, and it’s popular with locals, which adds to the authentic atmosphere. The room was fully equipped, it had a safe, a fridge, air conditioning, and a hairdryer. Everything was spotlessly clean, and housekeeping was provided daily. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. Thick curtains ensured the room stayed dark in the morning, which was a nice touch. One thing: there is no lift, for our room we had to go up appr. 15 stairs with the luggage but there was a groundfloor room too.

I am a Senior US Military Officer in Vicenza Italy. My family and I stayed at this property this past weekend. First visit to Rome for me, 2nd for my wife & 13 year-old daughters The B&B was exceptional! Recently renovated during COVID-19 pandemic (2021). Bathroom and beds were exquisite. Room was spacious, had a view, and being Rome, the walls are 15th century concrete, so you can here "nothing" from your neighbors. The lady who checked us in (Rossana?) was an absolute doll. So kind and caring to us and she LOVED our 110lb Doberman Maximus - and there was no additional charge for the dog to stay (which is rare in Italy!) This property is 1.2 miles from the train station, and 4 min walk to the Collesium! Very centrally located to see all of Rome's history! I would absolutely stay here again! :-)

Went for a short break and had the most amazing time staying at il Covo, The room was spotless with everything working perfectly and a beautiful view of the streets below from our room. The local cafe where breakfast is served was a minute walk around the corner and was delicious. The location was amazing, with lots of hidden restaurants within a few minutes walking distance, and shops with everything you could need e.g pharmacy, local shop, ice creams etc. So close to the colosseum which was breathtaking to see down the street from us. And other monuments within a 30 min walk Would definitely recommend staying here for anyone who likes being in a buzzing centre. Can’t wait to stay again!

Spectacular place stay in at the heart of the city. The room I stayed in had beautiful interior design, and the owners of the B&B hotel were extremely accommodating and kind! The breakfast included was in a bar/restaurant, and they'll certainly give you a hearty meal. Il Covo B&B and its restaurant partner seem to have perfected hospitality together! It was amazing. I'll definitely want to stay with them again when I get back.
